Not too new – but worth reading
- Bonobos use Sex to de-stress – they are known as a “sexy” ape, and their reputation is well deserved. Sex happens often and without discrimination for partners or positions. They seem to like it as much as we, humans, do but pretend a lot less – if at all.
- 28% of the morning-after pills in Peru are fake – almost one third of the emergency contraceptives sold in Peru are not effective. The researchers tested 25 batches of pills purchased from pharmacies, and of those seven dissolved too slowly to be effective and 1 didn’t have any contraceptive components at all.
- Free iPhone 5s available in the US – barely six months after the initial release of iPhone 5c (the cheap version) and iPhone 5s (the premium model), RadioShake is now offering iPhone 5s for free to those who return a iPhone 4s and sign up for a two-years contract with AT&T, Verizon or Spring.
- A Federal Court orders the release of secret US documents – a federal appeals court ordered the release of a memorandum from the Department of Justice that justified the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American who the US Government said was a talent recruiter for the al-Qaeda.
